What do Winchester Creatives do?
Winchester Creatives is a not for profit social enterprise (CIC), led by volunteers. The Covid-19 pandemic has led to a spiralling unemployment rate which makes it challenging for young creatives to find jobs in the creative and digital industry. So we run a number of programmes to help them to Mind, Mend and Jump the Gap.
How do we help?
We’re a campaigning organisation
Whilst we love the creative industry, we recognise that there are some objective flaws that need improving. Whether that’s diversity, hiring practice or entry level expectations, we know collectively that we can all do better.
We’re creating a creative community
Through our young creative NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) and our experienced creative mentors we’re building a supportive community for people trying to break into the creative industries.
We’re increasing employability
Our goal is to help more young people get in and get on in the creative industry. Having a degree doesn't mean you’ll automatically find work. We help by providing online training, apprenticeships and sponsored projects.
Support us
We’re always looking for other individuals, businesses and organisations to collaborate with, whether that’s through sponsored creative projects, online training partnerships, or donations. So far all our initiatives have either been funded by our initial crowdfunding campaign, or by kind businesses and organisations that have been inspired by our goals and felt the need to contribute.
Are you a young person trying to get into the creative industry?
Whether you’ve completed a degree, an apprenticeship, a masters, you're still in education or if you’re making your own way entirely. If you need help or advice on getting in the creative industry, please get in touch.

“It’s a lifeline. It’s nice to have someone to talk to who’s senior and experienced outside my workplace, it’s been really helpful.”
